      Youth Community Manager (Shanghai)

      • We are looking for someone who is a fast-learning and independent self-starter. Previous event organization, creative, and technical experience will be a bonus. Relevant training will be offered to support you in your position.
      • Location: Shanghai preferred. Remote work ok.
      • Nature: Part-Time or Internship
      • Benefits/Compensation:
        • For Part-Time: Competitive, pegged to your city of residence
        • For Intern: Please note that this is an unpaid position, though we could potentially negotiate a token fee based on performance and/or subsequent collaborations
        • Travel available
      • Responsibilities:
        • Act as the primary point of contact for community engagement and localized marketing strategy and execution in region
        • Ensure smooth event execution end-to-end
        • Build and grow strong local communities via event planning, individual networking efforts, partnerships, content generation, and other user engagement and acquisition programs
        • Sustain community engagement through online and offline channels regularly, build and manage a fleet of interns, influencers, partners, and volunteers
        • Lead and handle every aspect of an event from end-to-end with a team
        • Brainstorm new ideas, create and disseminate best practices in all relevant work areas with other members of the team
        • Develop and nurture local influencer partnerships
        • Create and source content to be shared across multiple platforms e.g. Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, Weibo, etc.
        • Shape creative and production briefs for local implementation
        • Play a key role in building an inclusive environment that fosters collaboration and creativity both internally and externally
        • Research and write proposals
        • Handle project reporting
        • Continuously monitor events/marketing performance and adjust to meet key goals set
        • Other tasks as necessary
      • Requirements:
        • A sense of curiosity and openness to learning
        • Effective team players who can also be independent hustlers
        • No task is too small for you Interest in entrepreneurship, youth development, and cross-cultural communications
        • Ability to think critically and to communicate ideas effectively
        • Love of travel
        • Passion for building communities
        • Ideally, you should be based in China.
      • Skillsets:
        • Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Chinese languages
        • Coordinating meetings and interfacing with collaborators and stakeholders
        • Prior digital marketing, technical or teaching experience will be a bonus
        • Organizational effectiveness
        • Previous work/start-up experience a bonus

      Youth Community Associate (Singapore / Shanghai)

      • We are looking for people to join our community team to provide an optimal event experience at our workshops, hackathons, and so on, online and/or offline. You are passionate about fostering genuine connections and developing meaningful learning opportunities for the community.
      • Location: China, or Singapore preferred. Remote work ok.
      • Nature: Internship
      • Benefits/Compensation:
        • Please note that this is an unpaid position, though we could potentially negotiate a token fee based on performance and/or subsequent collaborations
        • Onboarding and training will be provided
      • Responsibilities:
        • Logistics: Source and check possible event venues to ensure requirements are met; setup and arrange venue as needed; ensure that audiovisual projection works
        • Marketing: Create and source content to be shared across multiple platforms e.g. Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, Weibo, etc.
        • On-the-day: Ensure program flows smoothly in conjunction with the on-the-day team
        • Other tasks as necessary
        • Note: the additional scope below may not be applicable to all locations
          • Act as a local point-of-contact for our network of students, partners, and other stakeholders
          • Provide feedback on program agenda developed by HQ team and co-develop planning
          • Business development: Build a list of possible sponsors and reach out to secure commitment
          • Reporting: ensure proper budgeting (to be approved by HQ), to spend within a budget, collate receipts and reimburse any leftover amounts as necessary
      • Requirements:
