WHAT WE DO
bonding beyond borders
"BBB” is the acronym for “Bonding Beyond Borders”, a hybrid cross-border youth programme in response to World Economic Forum's (WEF) call to rebuild trust in the world. We aim to create a platform of trust to connect youths globally by stimulating discussions on personal growth and pressing global and regional affairs.
SUSTAINABLE SUSTAINABILITY STARTATHON
To build an ecosystem of youths who are passionate about sustainability, SSS provides aspiring entrepreneurs with the relevant resources required to kickstart their idea. Undergraduates and polytechnic students are welcome to apply. Applications for Organising Committee are now open. To apply as a participant commencing in July 2021, visit our sign-up page in the link below.
OPERATIONS
Through effective policy and procedures for necessary work streams, we design and implement an efficient administration of YLT activities. We also coordinate closely with workstream leaders to implement necessary work processes that require resource management and planning.
MARCOM
At Marketing & Communications, we develop and implement the MarCom strategy for YLT and specific workstreams. Through deploying events-focused MarCom strategy with social media tools and content, we aim to increase our outreach to relevant audience in corporate and education sector.
YOUTH MEMBERSHIP & VOLUNTEER
Our responsibility includes developing and maintaining an effective YLT membership and volunteer recruitment strategy. Other than designing and proposing events necessary for membership and volunteer recruitment, we also source and administer a CRM database system for YLT members.
TALKS & NETWORK
We plan Talks & Networking events across China and Singapore for the benefit of OSG youth members, including networking sessions, pre-departure orientation sessions for Singaporean students studying in China and charity events.

I learned with humility that not everyone has access to the same opportunities, and this has repercussions across the globe. I am convinced of social mobility as a cause to strive for – creating opportunities are at the core. Therefore, I am motivated to implement structural changes on a greater scale so that everyone can make informed choices by having fairer access to opportunities.

China is an emerging power and as a Chinese-majority country, Singapore shares interesting and deeply embedded ties with China. It is therefore meaningful and important to engage with Singaporean youths who are forward-looking, global-minded and entrepreneurial in spirit with a Chinese focus.

Success comes down to rare moments of opportunity. Be open, alert, and ready to seize them. Gather the right people and resources; then commit. If you’re not prepared to apply that kind of effort, either the opportunity isn’t as compelling as you think or you are not the right person to pursue it."

I am an Escapist, a History geek, and a former national athlete. If I could choose a superpower, it'd be time travel, so that I could explore China through it's empires. I've run a half marathon on the Great Wall, and spent a sabbatical in Beijing to immerse myself in the culture and get a glimpse behind the curtain of the business landscape.
